Artist's Comments

after all, we are machines, fashioned from the clay of the earth

with nerves instead of wires and veins instead of pipes

and the firing of billions of tiny neurons, the transmission of electrical impulses, determines our selves

Great concent. Your art and ideas are really interesting; tney're fun to read and the fact they're short and sweet really encourages the lazy people to read as well (lol ;D). I like how the elephants has hints of being part machine, but its overall body looks real..you have great elephant anatomy. The monotony of your colors makes the setting feel isolate, which works great with the piece; i have the image of the elephant and the human walking through a lonely dessert for hours.

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere is your electronic elephant that is rusty?! you never put it up and its extremely distressing.

Then what of free will? Is it an illusion or do particles occasionally swerve? How can consciousness exist to a clay machine?
Beautiful piece, evocative description. I espcially like the stomach. +fav

I really, really love the highest bump on the elephant's rump to the tail. That entire curve, and somehow the belly meeting the hing leg just sow so much extreme character. You keep your lines so simple and straightfoward, and manage to convey so much with them. Augh.

The lump in the belly, the little roll partially down just kills me and makes me laugh. xD I dislike touching elephants.. dont like the way their skin feels, but I want to squish onto this one in a fit of love despite that.

The style of the man's legs is also very jibberish inducing. That teeny tiny bit of shading right in the middle just adds so much. Eeeeeeee.

Life is not about how fast you run, or how high you climb, but how well you bounce.

I am going to steal your brain. <>_<>

I could babble on about how amazing you have gotten, about how much I enjoy your wonderful ideas and your unique breath-of-fresh-air art, but I think a +fav says it all! Plus, I'm simply at a loss for words! Just keep kicking arse, okay? :)

Simple yet superb. :'D The elephant looks really good, showing machine like qualities yet keeping the realistic look.

So we're artificial life forms? Wonder who created us.....o:

I almost didn't do that bit of shading! It actually was an accident when I finished coloring, because I looked back and realized I'd missed a spot, and then I was like, hey! That doesn't look too bad.

But I probably shouldn't tell you that, should I, haha.
:iconarborish:
XD That just makes it even better. Your fingers were rebelling.

I think what catches my eye is how the man and the elephant have two different...speeds?
It looks like the man is in a hurry, and the elephant is just moseying along. :giggle:

I love the feel of the colors, too.
